Gain Momentum in Your Business

Gain Momentum in Your Business

Ever feel unmotivated like you need a break from everything? I know exactly how you feel my friend. Sometimes, you find yourself buried under a pile of work with little to no time to work on what's most important.

That's why I wanted to share with you "Three Ways to Help you Gain Momentum in Your Biz" right now.

1| Create your own self-care space

This is the number one thing you need to do right away to get your mojo back. Find time in your schedule to add self-care time.

Ask yourself: What do I want to do during my ME time? You can meditate, take up yoga, read your favorite book, get a pedicure or even sleep. Whatever you decide just schedule your me time. This is going to keep you inspired and refresh through your day.

2| Organize Organize Organize

One of the main cause of chaos is the lack of organization. I'm guilty myself so I won't pretend to be perfect. I can just share that when I get things organized life is so much easier.

Take 1 hour a week to prepare for the week. Plan out what you need to do in your business and a few action steps on how you will tackle them right away.

A few tools you can use to get yourself organized are Trello, Google Cal or Evernote. Create systems for your business to help you get focused and organized.

A great book that I highly recommend to help you with building systems for your biz is : The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It by Michael E. Gerber.

3| Know your Why?

Honestly, the best motivation comes from knowing your why. Why do you want to build your biz? Why are you blogging? For everything you do in life there is a reason. If you need motivation think about your reason. In the words of my favorite speakers Les Brown "Your why will be your rod and your staff that carries you through it all"

There you have it friend! Three ways to gain momentum in your "Three Ways to Help you Gain Momentum in Your Biz".

The Dao of You: The Road, The Path and The Essence of Your Authentic Self

THE DAO OF YOU: THE ROAD, THE PATH
AND THE ESSENCE OF YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF

The Dao of You

In Chinese philosophy, The Dao (Tao) is The Way. Your Dao says everything about who you are, how you live your life and how you do business.

The Road to Self

In the literal sense, Dao means “road” which is the most physical interpretation of this ancient philosophy. What’s the road you travel daily? Do you have a routine that includes good sleep hygiene, a healthy diet, exercise, meaningful relationships and some kind of spiritual practice?

Your authentic self needs the structure of a well-built highway to thrive. Are you a Maserati driving on a dirt road, or zooming down the Autobahn? Patch any potholes in your life so you can thrive.

The Path of Transformation

The Dao is also the Path. It’s the journey that leads you from where you begin in this life to your final destination. Has your journey been Easy Street, a little bumpy, or like climbing Everest?

As pressure turns sand into a diamond, likewise, the journey you travel helps to hone your personal story. There are many ways to tell a story, however, it is when you learn to tell your story from a place of power that you can empower others.

Do you share your personal story in your business? Your path can be a great gift to your clients. Your ideal client is attracted to you because she sees a version of herself in your journey from a more fractured self to wholeness.

The Essence of Authenticity

At the deepest level, your Dao is who you are at your center, a combination of your core values and spiritual beliefs. When you live and lead from the place of your highest calling you are able to generate transformation, in your own life and in the lives of those around you.

This level is energetic and about fully coming into your being.  Knowledge of who you are – your authentic self – is required to live at this level. Do you know your highest values? Are you living and working each day in service to those? If not, hire a coach, get clear and use your precious life force to live from this place.

The quality of your energy (chi, prana or The Force to Star Wars fans) and how it flows through your life is critical. Do you engage in activities that raise your energy, like time in nature, viewing art or listening to uplifting music? Are your home and office supportive spaces? Are you committed to a spiritual practice? A life of integrity and authenticity is high vibration. Up yours.

Find your way, your Dao. Get yourself on the road, the path and the essence of you. You, and your clients, deserve the most authentic you.

9 Ways to Connect with Your Internal Wisdom

9 WAYS TO CONNECT WITH YOUR INTERNAL WISDOM

The options are infinite. Which direction do we take?

Deep within each of us is an innate knowledge of life and what is best for us individually. Being truly connected with this internal wisdom leads to living a higher existence - filled with more peace and joy and less anxiety and disappointment.

Gain greater access to your own internal wisdom by utilizing these nine methods to heighten intuition.

Relish your time alone. Set aside time to spend solo and to practice self-awareness by learning to detect your own desires and reactions.

Purge your mind. We’re inundated constantly with information - good and bad. Journaling is a great way to let out information that’s cluttering your internal space and, at the same time, draw the beneficial and healthy thoughts to the surface.

Breathe, deeply. Highly effective at detoxifying the whole body, deep breathing also calms the nervous system. When you slow your breath, you allow new life force to permeate your being. Your heart rate slows, stress and anxiety weaken. By reducing stress, we reduce resistance and allow flow. Your intuition is better accessed when you’re in a state of allowing.

Spend time in nature. Find time for a 20-minute walk to take in the environment, feel the grass or sand beneath your feet, breathe fresh air. Make the connection with nature to help spark the connection with self.

Meditate. Making a conscious decision to set aside even five minutes for comfortable, quiet, inward focus is calming. With eyes closed, aim to easily allow thoughts to float past. Meditation brings you closer to your intuition by carving a clear path to your subconscious over time.

Find a sleeping schedule that most suits you. It is during sleep that our body rejuvenates. Reduce taxation with quality sleep. When your mind is fresh and clear, your intuition is most lucid.

Eat clean foods. Just like we are inundated with information, our bodies can become cluttered with unhealthy foods and toxins. Eat well and take note of how your body reacts. When your body functions with more energy and strength, so does your intuition.

Create. We are each highly inventive beings;  find your outlet of expression. Whether through sport, conversation, dance, art, or by any activity that lights you up, explore your personal and enjoyable ways to be the creative being you are.

Move your body. Use your movements to connect to your center - physically and emotionally, to be flexible, strong, and open. Move to communicate with your intuition.

Delete “Lazy” From Your Vocabulary and Change Your Life

DELETE "LAZY" FROM YOUR VOCABULARY AND
CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Delete "Lazy" From Your Vocabulary

Delete "Lazy" From Your Vocabulary

Did you know that using the word “lazy” in your vocabulary can not only interfere with the success of your goals but it can greatly interfere with the success of other peoples goals if you label them as lazy too?

How many times have you found yourself saying, “I’m just too lazy to workout today,” “I’m too lazy to go to a networking meeting?”

And how many times have you labeled someone you know as lazy?

The Go To Label
The word “lazy” has been used as a label over the years to define the reason why a person is not achieving something or doing something that should be done towards reaching a positive goal.

Negative Label
The word “lazy” has a negative, underachieving stigma attached to it.   The word “lazy” not only brings up old feelings of worthlessness and underachievement, but it might cause you to beat yourself up every time that labeled act of laziness is repeated regardless of how much willpower you use towards not being lazy.

Willpower does not work
Many times when a person attempts to use willpower to overcome laziness, chances are high that the person is going to easily fall back into the same lazy pattern after a couple of times of using willpower.

Why
The origin of the word “lazy” goes back to the 1540’s and was spelled “laysy.”   It replaced native slack, slothful, and idle as the main word expressing the notion of "averse to work."  It also meant weak, feeble and tired.   Every time you call yourself or another person “lazy” you are affirming that you or another person does have an averse to work, is slack, slothful and idle as well as weak, feeble and tired.

Wrong Labeling
Because we live in a society of labels, I believe that the word “lazy” became a common label only because it seemed like the most logical word to use during a time when we didn’t know as much about the brain and habits as we do now.

Use The Correct Label
Many times when we don’t follow through on a goal, its not that we are being lazy, it simply means that the“HABIT” to achieve the goal has not been implanted.   The dictionary definition of “habit” is: an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary.

Delete Lazy Today
When you delete the word “lazy” from your vocabulary and understand that if you can’t get yourself to the gym, its not that you’re lazy, you just need to get into the habit of going, you might see yourself achieving your goals with much more effortless, success, in the future!
