DONE BEING BROKE? 2015 IS THE YEAR OF INFINITE MONEY POSSIBILITIES

Article by Lorena Morales

A few years ago I decided that instead of resolutions, I would make New Year’s Declarations. I declared I was done being broke; that I would make big money. And I did just that, taking very specific steps.

Declare!
If you struggle with money, declaration is a powerful first step. Declare you are already making more money in 2015.

Be Specific.
Get clear about the amount you desire. I used to say, “Just enough for my bills,” without knowing how much that was! How much do you want to make this year? Take that number—break it down by month, week, and even days. Write everything down. You’ll be amazed how effectively this keeps you on track.

Get over it!
My clients—talented, hard-working women—often arrive desperate about money, and so mad at themselves! They’ve been “foolish” following the you-too-can-have-a-six-figure-business dream; they “should” have known; they’ve “failed.” Sound familiar? Well, that stops now. No one lives a mistake-free life! Forgive your disappointments. Give up guilt; forgive the past. Now you’re actually free to start over.

DO Something.
Listen, I love the Law of Attraction; it’s valid and important—and I know raising your vibration and energy is not enough without action toward your goals. Nothing will happen if you don’t get off the couch and do something. Action is not optional.

Take Fun Seriously.
Fun elevates your vibration and feeds your creativity, yet most women don’t make it a priority. A movie, roller skating, a bubble bath. My clients put it in their calendar—fun is nothing to mess around with, and it’s where the money is at!

2015 is the Money Year
Per Numerology, 2015 is an “8” (2+0+1+5=8), and 8 is the number of money—and it’s an amplifier. It’s the perfect year to transform money because you’ll get fast results.

In this year of infinite money possibilities, I promise you—money and abundance can spread like wildfire in 2015, with focus and work on your money (or lack of money!) issues.

Bringing it All Together:

  • Declare you are making more money in 2015.
  • Know your numbers; write down exactly how much you desire
  • Forgive yourself for bad financial decisions; there are no mistakes, only lessons learned.
  • Have fun!
  • Take advantage of the abundant money energy this year brings.

I personally want you to remember that you are worthy of making all the money you desire. It’s your birthright. So have fun doing it!

DISCOVERING YOUR ACTION PLAN TO TRANSFORM YOUR MINDSET

“I just don’t like to exercise, I don’t have time, weight lifting is boring, I can’t stay with good nutrition because I feel deprived and unsatisfied.”

If those thoughts and beliefs run through your mind, they are preventing you from ever finding your “sweet” spot with a fitness regime & nutrition plan.   In fact, they play blocker at your every turn keeping you frustrated, struggling, and in a never-ending cycle of start and stop.

Your trainer, your fitness classes, and your nutrition plan are tools.  They do not hold the secrets to weight loss, weight gain, gorgeous muscle definition, or putting a stop to sugar and carbohydrate cravings.

Would you like a physical practice that makes you feel strong and powerful, like a warrioress and fuel your body with lavish, clean food that satiates you like a queen at a royal buffet?

YOU CAN HAVE ALL OF IT.

But . . . .

The secret weapon lies within you, deep beneath the tip of the iceberg in your subconscious mind. Your programmed system of beliefs about yourself, your life, your relationships – including your relationship with your body and your food are the keystones to your success. These golden nuggets of positive or negative subconscious beliefs lead you down a path of passion and crazy results OR frustration and failure.

Take the time to examine your Negative, Self Sabotoging Beliefs vs. Their Positive Counterparts.

Below are some very simple and almost superficial statements. Knowing deep down if you truly believe these statements or not is your first step.

Negative, Self-Sabotoging Beliefs:  {Fill in the blank}:
1.   _____________________ (exercise, weight lifting, eating clean) is hard.
2.  I don’t have time to _________________ (exercise, change my nutrition, figure it out).
3.  I do not have support from others.
4.  It’s too hard.
5.  It’s boring.
6.  I can’t.

Positive, Self-Enhancing Beliefs:
1.  I look for, and usually find, the gift and opportunity in life’s challenges.
2.  I want to live.
3.  I easily receive support from others.
4.  I am in control of my life.
5.  I expect things to turn out for the best.
6.  I can and I deserve to be the best me.

Now that you have honestly asked yourself these questions and know your answers, it’s time to start discovering your action plan to transform any negative beliefs once and for all.  You’ve got to really really really REALLY want to change, educate yourself, and then finally believe that your personal metamorphosis is possible.

10 Things You Should NEVER See On A Beauty Product Ingredient List

10 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER SEE

10 Things You Should NEVER See On A Beauty Product Ingredient List

10 Things You Should NEVER See On A Beauty Product Ingredient List

There are many questionable items in many of our beauty and personal products. The names are long and confusing, the ingredient lists are long and confusing.....its so hard to work through it all.

Here's the main problem there are tens of thousands of ingredients in our beauty and personal products but only 20% of them have EVER been tested for safety. I know what your thinking. "What?? Are you kidding me??" Nope I am not kidding. Not at all. The cosmetics industry is completely self-regulated which is why slapping labels like Organic, Natural and Pure mean ABSOLUTELY nothing.

I could go on but instead I am going to give you a general rule guide to go by. Here are the steps.

1| Put ALL of your beauty/personal products into a pile (this includes ANYTHING that touches your skin or hair - e.g. shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, all makeup etc. etc.)

2| Make sure none of the words below are included on their ingredients lists.

3| READY. SET. GO!

  • Paraben (Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl and more)
  • Formaldehyde
  • Phthalates
  • PEGs (Propylene Glycol)
  • Petroleum
  • Synthetic Colors
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
  • Fragrance (Parfum, Aroma)
  • PVP/VA Copolymer
  • Stearalkonium Chloride

Most of the ingredients listed above are unsafe because they are either known carcinogens, possible carcinogens or they block the skin from releasing toxins. I want to highlight one of the things on the list: FRAGRANCE

“Join

The word Fragrance should NEVER EVER EVER be on an ingredient list. Due to the lack of laws in the US, the word "Fragrance" is considered to be trade secret therefore companies do not need to disclose what ingredients make up that word. There could be 10, 100 or even 1000 ingredients withing that word and you have no idea what they are. THIS scares the crap out of me and it should scare the crap out of you!

What's in your products?

HOLISTIC FASHIONISTA RECOMMENDED!

There has not been a federal law regulating cosmetic ingredients since 1938! Only 10% of the 12,000 or so ingredients commonly found in persoanl products have been tested for safety.

If you are a clean eater but you are slathering these toxic chemicals all over your body then you are doing it wrong! Do you have the time to do the research to see what's REALLY in your favorite makeup, skincare and personal products?

3 Fast Ways to Hum Your Way to Happiness!

3 Fast Ways To Hum Your Way To Happiness

3 Fast Ways To Hum Your Way To Happiness

You’re blue, unhappy, angry, depressed. You’re also holistic, groovy and know you should be able to pull yourself out of the Dungeon of Despair. And it’s that clean slate time of year…

What to do?

There are lots of great ways to lift your spirits: meditation, walking in nature, talking with friends. But what if none of those are available right now?

Ready to add something new to your toolkit?

It’s humming! Yes, simple humming.

Here are 3 ways you can use humming to improve your life!

Check Your Hummer. I’m not talking about an oversized vehicle. I’m talking about the harp you carry within you, the sacred harp - your own voice. Put your lips together, and send the sound out through your nose. It might tickle a little. That’s good.

Hum Your Bad Day Away. Had a bad hair day? Tell me about it, but do it only by humming. Really tell the story, but only by humming. When you take the words out and allow just the energy of the event through humming, it’s easier to release.

Hum Your Way to Happiness. Once you know your hummer is working, and you’ve released some sound gunk, you’re ready to connect to a source of happiness. You can either get very quiet and listen for your own song, and begin to hum. Or you can pick a simple song from your childhood that and hum that. Notice how the tune changes over time.

I hope you have a big smile on your face, and you’ve learned something new about your voice and how powerful it is in lifting your spirits.

Use liberally!

Is Your “Goal Setting” Dumbing You Down?

IS YOUR "GOAL SETTING" DUMBING YOU DOWN?

"Goal Setting" Dumbing You Down?

"Goal Setting" Dumbing You Down?

Article by Ling Wong
Magazine: Issue #21

How many times have you set goals and then “failed” to meet them? Does it make you feel crappy and cause you to beat yourself up? What if it’s not YOU? What if it’s the way we are taught to set goals that is constricting our creativity and possibilities?

A lot of us have heard of SMART goals, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-Bound.

There is absolutely merit to this way of thinking – I am sure it works for some, and if it’s rocking your world, stick with it by all means.

This article is not about arguing what the “right way” is – my intention is to point out a few things and let YOU decide what’s best for your circumstances.

I want to share a different perspective so we can discern when setting SMART goals may be causing us to negate our bigger picture. How its approach may create a point of view that blinds us from dreaming big and being gutsy.

If you are nodding your head in agreement that you are often stumped by this goal-setting thing, and find it to be constrictive, here is a different way to look at it from the “dream big, be gusty” angle.

Is Being “Specific and Measurable” Diverting Our Attention?

If you are familiar with the Desire Map, then you understand why you want to focus on how you want to feel and do things to create that feeling, instead of getting the “thing” that you think may generate the feeling.

I am all about “feeling it” because our soul and intuition communicate with us through our emotions. But getting down and dirty to our core and in touch with our deepest desires and feelings can be scary.

Hiding behind the numbers or the “tangible” (aka, “specific”) stuff can be a convenient way to divert our attention so we don’t have to face what truly matters to us on a deeper level.

When we put “numbers” down, it creates a bias toward using the “logical mind” and mutes our intuition. It puts the left brain on overdrive and asks the right brain (where big picture and creativity lie) to take a back seat.

It may help us “get things done” but it may also make us myopic and turn us into taskmasters who has lost sight of what we want to BE about.

Putting a number (or a “tangible” metric) down can make us obsess about the number, instead of staying with the “why” behind setting that number. The “obsession” may get us to do things that are not aligned with “who we are” (or who we want to BE) just so we can hit an arbitrary number.

If you “make” the numbers by doing something not aligned with who you want to be and where you want to go, are you sending yourself down a wrong route, doing busy work that actually takes you further away from your big vision and ultimate goal?

Is Being “Attainable and Realistic” Limiting Our Possibilities?

Flying to the moon was not “realistic” before it became a reality, but we did it anyway.

If everything we do has to be “attainable and realistic” based on our current understanding of what is possible for our circumstances, it’s hard to stretch ourselves and create out-of-the-box breakthroughs.

Staying within the confines of what is “attainable” can become a handy excuse for our ego – which doesn’t like defeat, which fears being vulnerable and criticized – to hide behind so we don’t have to face plant when we declare our big vision.

Is “being realistic” keeping us small? Is “being attainable” drawing a line to keep us in before we start venturing out?

Staying “attainable and realistic” gives us an excuse to not push our limit – it can become a permission slip to stay safe within the boundary of the “known.”

If we want to work with the limitless resourcefulness of our higher selves and the universe, does it make sense to limit ourselves to what is “attainable and realistic” based on what we know and can perceive as available to us at this moment in time?

Is Being “Time-Bound” Limiting Our Flexibility?

With a project management background, I don’t have bones with setting timelines. In fact, I push my clients with somewhat aggressive timelines to kick their butts.

But… what are you putting a timeline on? If it’s a specific task in a project, I am very cool with that. It keeps you on your toes and actually get shit done.

However, if it’s a timeline for a bigger vision with multiple variables, it may limit your flexibility. When you fixate on the timeline, would it prevent you from exploring options that may take longer but actually be more aligned with your vision?

“Join

Having a timeline may make us feel that we are in control, but…“Control” is an illusion and we know our path unfolds not according to what our ego thinks to be “right.”

Ok, I have to make the jump here because it’s a gut thing and I can’t wrap a “logical argument” around this yet:
this illusion of control is actually disempowering us. It diverts our attention to “fixing” things rather than making the best of opportunities that arises, thereby limiting our possibilities.

Soooo… what to do?

You be the judge of when being SMART is indeed smart, and when being SMART is actually limiting your possibilities. I don’t have an answer, and I don’t think there needs to be one.

Set your eyes on who you want to BE and how you want to BE. Own it, step up to it. It should be big, and scary. It may be so big that you have no freaking idea how to go about it.

Then ask, what milestones can you come up with to direct your decisions and actions toward this vision? I think being SMART is great at the milestone level when you have already mapped out the projects that support your big vision.

When you are working toward the milestones, be sure to GUT check and make sure you are being who you want to BE, instead of chasing a number or staying safe, thereby losing sight of the big “why” that drove the creation of the milestones in the first place.

3 WAYS YOUR TRUE FRIENDS FUEL YOUR PURPOSE

Article by Nicole Zaagman

Magazine: Issue #21

Ever met someone who inspired you?  Like a matchstick being lit, at first glance or conversation they stirred something deep inside and left you wanting more.

Divine attraction is not by chance.

We’re all destined to meet special individuals who leave a lasting impression. These are people whom you can be truly honest with, ask the hard questions and get feedback when needed most. Although this circle is small, the ones who play a significant role in your life should mean more to you than anything.

What do you look for in a true friend? And why is it so important to take notice of those lucky enough to make your inner circle? The ones closest to you play a huge role in fueling your purpose as an individual. Sound cliché? Sometimes the simplest things happen to be true and in this case, your true friends are an invaluable asset in not only life, but fulfilling your dreams.

Here are 3 ways these individuals change your life for the better:

1| They challenge you. Let’s face it, sometimes the nuances of friendship means you don’t always get along. If a relationship is meant to stand the test of time, sometimes you will get frustrated, angry and perplexed. True friendships are not going to be unicorns and rainbows 24/7. True friends however will always be there for you, regardless of your differences or misunderstandings. They’ll understand you so well; you’ll eventually come around and get to the bottom of your frustration, learn the lesson in the difficulty and continue learning from each other.

2| They tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. The ones who really care about you the most will always have your best interest in mind. Regardless of their feelings or yours they’ll tell you straight up what you need to hear. Sometimes this isn’t well received or you’ll be surprised by what just came out of their mouths, but you can’t help but respect them for pointing the truth out to you.

“Join

3| They encourage you to reach for your dreams. When you’re having one of those days, weeks or months they come alongside you and help you realize everything you’ve already accomplished. Sometimes it’s as simple as letting you know you’re not alone and that they understand completely what you mean in your moment of weakness. They’ll then point out from their perspective how your purpose is making a huge impact in the world even if you can’t see the bigger picture right now.

Be sure to thank your true friends for fueling the sometimes messy, but amazing journey of your life.
