How to Host a Goddess Circle

What is a Goddess Circle?

A Goddess circle is a place where women gather to nurture, in a non-judgmental way, to  be vulnerable and support each other. Often times breaking bread together, along with practicing ancient spiritual rituals to let go and let in.

Step 1.

Set an intention for your gathering. Decide if you are working with the Divine power of the moon and what phase she is in. Typically the Full Moon is to let go, while the New moon is a time to manifest and plant seeds of intentions.

Step 2.

Plan your date and time with Luna and invite all of the Goddesses in your life. You can hand write beautiful invitations or create something one of a kind with, Spark Post.

Step 3.

Create an altar for the circle, with candles of all shapes and sizes, flowers, greenery, plants, Oracle cards, crystals or shells.

Gather at dusk or the golden hour. Have coffee, tea or other herbal drinks. Prepare and make with love, delightful food. This can be as simple or extravagant as you want.

Introductions and breaking bread together to help form an intimacy within the Goddesses.

Step 4.

Set autonomy and clear guidelines for sharing. Allow each woman to feel as though she has entered into sacred and safe space, knowing that what she shared, will never leave the circle.

Give each Goddess beautiful crafted paper to write what she’d like to either let go of or bring into her life. Depending on what phase the moon is in. Or do both. Let go and Let In.

Give each participant time to write and reflect.

Open the ceremony with host sharing and taking turns within the ladies.

Share, laugh and cry together and feel the weight of the world being lifted off your shoulders.

Step 5.

Fire Ceremony. Use a fire pit to cast what you wish to shed from your life under Luna’s magnificent power. Take turns reading aloud what you wish to purge or call in it. After each Goddess reads and throws her paper into the fire, exclaim So Be It!

Step 6.

Either hold hands and say closing ceremony prayer or intention. Or read the poem The Phoenix (below).

Exchange numbers and contact info and set up next months Circle and watch your life manifest in ways you never dreamed possible.

Namaste, Goddesses

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The Phoenix will rise, continue she must. Her journey is long, her sight never ceases. The world in the distance, her tight grip releases. Few can handle her, fewer will try. For her might is tangible and her judgement be spry. Her wingspan encompasses those who stay close. She holds tight to her instincts, she trusts them the most. Her time is precious, her independence is loud. The Phoenix is fierce, never one with the crowd. Her flame is often mistaken for a weapon or wall, though her heart is wide open and her love lingers tall. Her talons are sharp, relentless at the ready. Her soul, like her passion, runs free, wild and steady. Should another choose to fly at her side, she will soar near, her eyes and ears wide. Her wounds and her scars lie hidden within, though the Phoenix always rises as a new day begins. Her purpose is of meaning and impossible to define; her presence strong, her force rippling, and her power divine.
