4 Ways to Mind Your Own Business

4 Ways to Mind Your Own Business

Mindfulness implies that you are aware of yourself. Now of course no one is perfect and this is an area that we all can improve on but it’s super important that we pay close attention to what we are doing in the moment.  What we do and say effects everyone around us. Our decisions, emotions, reactions and so forth.

Have you ever spoken to someone that was able to tell you everything about someone else but couldn’t tell you anything about themselves?  I know you know at least one person who is obsessed with the way people think and do things. The first thing that comes to mind for me is MIND YOUR BUSINESS! What advice would you give this person to help them focus on their actions and their thoughts? The next time that you experience this with a friend or associate, share this advice with them. Lets’ say the person name is Linda. I would say Linda, instead of focusing on that person and what they are doing, think of it this way. You should observe yourself as though you are watching a movie to learn more about your extraordinary traits and attributes. This is a different perspective that you don’t typically do in your daily life however I recommend trying it. As you go on to explain to her gently, when you are mindful of yourself, you begin to see what you are creating. Our thoughts are so powerful that we tend to forget what we can manifest into existence.

Now by this time, I’m sure Linda is looking up at the sky with her eyes rolled in the back of her head in disgust. She is not interested in anything that you have to say. I encourage you to go on with the conversation. Linda, observe yourself and how you interact with others.  Ask yourself these questions. Was I mindful when I brushed my teeth this morning?  Was I mindful of how I spoke to someone over the phone today? Was I mindful when I looked at myself in the mirror? Was I mindful driving in traffic? Was I mindful when I decided to judge someone I barely knew? If not, are you really living?  Or are you just alive?

We are so use to our routines that we are not aware of our surroundings or interactions. Usually we see the same thing every day because we simply think, feel and do the same thing. When we are mindful, we will see differently because we are awake and actually living. You will see life in a completely differently light. By feeling and being aware of every moment will spark creativity and will create a mental space that is stress free.

Since I am such a huge fan of building relationships and connections with others, I’ve noticed over time that as we immerse ourselves into the moment, others notice. As we becoming present through mindfulness, we see others inviting us into interaction because people want to be around others who are willing to invest time. I’ve also noticed that the more aware we are of the greatness of others, the more likely we will receive the positive energy in return. This encourages others to strive through the very initiative we nurtured through our presence of mind body and spirit.

Here are a few healthy suggestions to become more mindful or should I say to Mind Your Business

1 :: Take a morning or evening walk without a destination. Let go of all thoughts of a schedule or agenda and simply allow yourself to go wherever your mood takes you. Surrender to the flow of life. This will also be your moment of self-love and empowerment.

2 :: Do one thing at a time. I understand the importance of multitasking but I recommend Single-task. It will help you in the long run. When you're pouring water, just pour water. When you're eating, just eat. Take your time with each task. When you are speaking to someone, give them your undivided attention. This is a great technique for reducing stress.

3 :: Next time your phone rings, resist to the urge to answer. Let it ring a couple of times as you collect your thoughts and prepare to answer. You should also consider turning the phone off during certain periods of the day. We all need to tap into this area of self-improvement and discipline.

4 :: Before Bed, sit in silence. Breathe slowly and deeply, allowing yourself to let go and simply be. This simply means turning the TV off and not using it as company until you fall asleep. This is where the crazy dreams appear in your head. This is the key ingredient for holistic living one step at a time.

Add these healthy suggestions into the daily routine and I assure you that you will see the difference within yourself. As things happen and as we maintain presence infused with stillness, we are more likely to accept them without judgment of ourselves or others.

How to Be An Influential Speaker in 3 Steps

HOW TO BE AN INFLUENTIAL SPEAKER IN 3 STEPS

Be An Influential Speaker

Be An Influential Speaker

Article by Denita Austin

Magazine: Issue #22

Being knowledgeable in your field will automatically give you creditably and creates influence and interest. To become an influential speaker it’s all about the Knowledge & Planning, Character, Honestly & Creativity

CHARACTER

To attract your audience, you must have character. Your speech or talk must be something of concern to your audience. Your personality must be of leadership skills and a since of humor. This will allow your audience to connect with you and become involved in your speech. Capture the audience’s emotions and learn how to engage with their concerns. Leadership skills go hand in hand with confidence and trust me, your confidence will shine brighter once you’re in-tune with who you are and what you’re presenting. Your character says it all. From what you decide to wear, to how you decide to speak and the topic that you choose to discuss. It all plays a part in your character that the audience will see.

BE BOLD & HONEST

Throw fear out the window and be bold to stand up and speak. Your audience will listen to you if they see that you’re confident and straight forward. Using the right words is the key to succeeding as a speaker. Start by building the courage to convey the message. But wait, there is more to it than just being bold, you must be honest. When we lack the confidence as influential speakers, we usually try to be something that we’re not. Your audience will see this a mile away. Take off your mask and be authentic. You must show your audience you’re true self. When they are able to see who you really are, a since of connection will manifest. Your audience will automatically listen, believe and follow what you say simple because you decided to place all cards on the table up front with being honest.

CREDIBILITY

Now this maybe a bit uncomfortable. Some of us try to tip toe around this however, the more experience you have, the better your skills will be. This doesn’t mean you must hold 16 framed certifications, I simply mean practice makes perfect. The more you practice and build your portfolio the better you will become. For example, let’s say you were offered a gig to speak and you didn’t have the credentials but you had experience, inform your audience of how many years you have under your belt. Tell them how long you’re been working in your field. Trust me they will want to know. Remember, the fear was thrown out the window previously so be honest about who you are when speaking. Being honest, open and authentic is a great way to begin your road map of being an influential speaker.

Spreading Your Message Like Wildfire

SPREADING YOUR MESSAGE LIKE WILDFIRE

Spreading Your Message Like Wildfire

Spreading Your Message Like Wildfire

Allow your Inner Expression of Creativity to shine & spread like Wildfire.

When we are super passionate about something, we want to tell the world. We want to place it on a blimp in the sky for everyone to see it. It is so easy to get discourage during your journey if you feel as though your message isn’t being heard or even understood.

I know your heart is yearning to act on your mission, spread your message, and inspire other people to take action.

Here are a few ideas on spreading your message:

1.  Team up with others who share your vision. Ask for help with endorsing your message through social media and other outlets that maybe helpful. It will make it so much easier to team up. You will be able to have more creative items added to your vision and message. I always say two heads are better than 1.

2.  Post quotes or create an inspiring blog. A message that will be able to help others is key. When you are able to motivate and inspire others in your own unique way, your message is bound to spread. Your blog or quotes can very well be intriguing to others just by having a powerful message. I strongly believe in creating your own style and flair. This will allow you to stand out from the rest to really prove to yourself and others that your heart only beats for the passion behind your message.

3.  Be your unique self.  Don’t be afraid to be yourself with delivering your message to the world. It is super important to be authentic and genuine. Never step outside the genuine box with your delivery. I can’t stress how important this step is. Honesty is everything and this 7 letter word must be included with your delivery.

“The

4.  Last but not least! Be Consistent.  If you are super serious and passionate about this one thing, stick to it and allow your message to flourish. If your message isn’t consistent, you will confuse others. Stick to what you are passionate about. You can't have consistency without improving your willpower. Consistency requires willpower to achieve anything.

Think about what your message is about and what you are trying to convey. There is nothing greater than having a powerful message that transforms lives and resonates with your soul. Allow it to bloom and spread like wildfire across the world. This will happen naturally as you continue to create a supportive team, post quotes, create an inspiring blog, be honest and true to who you are, and being consistent.

Sending Love & Light to you through spreading your inspiring message to the world!
