How to Heal Adrenal Fatigue: Be Kind To Your Adrenals

As entrepreneurs, we are always on the go and often let ourselves get so caught up in pursuing our dream that we let our bodies down. When our stress levels escalate, combined with poor eating habits and little sleep, our adrenals can become worn down. When our adrenal glands are functioning well, we are able to handle so much more!

Here are five quick and easy tips to be kind to your adrenals:

1 :: Avoid all refined sugar and soda-- sugar is the enemy for your adrenals
2 :: Don’t skip meals and eat healthy snacks throughout the day-- the steadier your blood sugar remains, the less extra work your adrenals need to do. I keep nuts in my desk drawer, so when I realize I haven’t eaten, I can eat a handful of nuts!
3 :: Limit caffeine intake-- okay, okay, this one may not be so easy for us to achieve but at least try!
4 :: Read labels on any food you purchase-- the fewer the ingredients, the better. Avoid partially hydrogenated oils and chemical additives.
5 :: Slow down to allow some rejuvenation-- take a ‘5-minute getaway'-- shut your eyes and envision your ‘happy place’.

Breathe and relax!
